It’s a private vehicle and guide either way — the more people sharing it, the lower the per-person cost. There is no upper limit: larger parties simply travel in more or bigger vehicles, with extra guides and a coordinator where needed, and we quote those arrangements separately. Travelling solo or as a couple? Tell us in the form — many of our guests do exactly that.

This tour does not include a hotel — most guests book their own. If you’d rather we arrange it, tell us in the form and we’ll quote the tour and hotel together.

How booking works

You approve the plan before you pay anything — and every step is confirmed in writing.

Tell us the trip

1

Send us your dates, your group size and anything that matters to you — travelling solo, with kids, or as a big group is all fine. We reply within one business day with a clear, itemised price for this tour. This step is free and puts you under no obligation.

2

Approve & pay a deposit

Once the plan is exactly right, we send a short trip agreement and an itemised invoice. Drivers, guides and entrance tickets start with a 30% deposit. Hotels, flights and train tickets are paid in full when we book them, because those suppliers require it. Every line is listed before you pay.

3

Balance on arrival

The remaining balance is settled when your service begins — for a day tour, on the day of the tour before it starts; for longer trips, when we pick you up. Before you travel we send your final itinerary and every booking confirmation. Your coordinator schedules every pick-up and meeting point, and stays reachable throughout your trip.

Common questions

Is this a private tour, or will we join others?

Private — just you and the people you’re traveling with. Even a solo traveler gets the car and guide to themselves.

Around one day is usually enough. For holiday weeks (Chinese New Year, National Day) book earlier.

No — this is a private tour, so even one traveller gets the vehicle and guide to themselves. And there’s no upper limit either: tell us how many you are and we’ll build around it. Many of our guests travel solo.

Yes. There’s no upper limit. Larger private groups travel in several vehicles with additional guides and a coordinator on the ground, and we arrange them the same way we arrange a day for two — just with more moving parts. Tell us your numbers in the form and we’ll quote it properly.

Yes — any central pickup point in the city. Tell us where in the booking notes.

We watch the forecast and adjust the order of the day where we can. If you’d rather move the date, tell us as early as possible — our Booking Conditions explain what that costs.

Building something bigger than a day in ?

Most guests who book this tour start with a longer conversation. Tell us where you want to go and we’ll build the whole itinerary — hotels, trains, guides and everything in between — around you.
